A Legendary Celebration in the Heart of Tokyo
Get ready, virtual pet lovers! Bandai has officially announced a massive anniversary event, the “Super Tamagotchi Festival in Shibuhara,” taking place across the Harajuku and Shibuya areas from November 7 to December 6, 2026. The main venue will be located on the 4th floor of Tokyu Plaza Harajuku “Harakado” (MAZE), with completely free admission!
While the iconic franchise is officially celebrating its 30th anniversary, the event leans into a hilarious and mysterious lore concept: What if Tamagotchi is actually 3,000 years old? Following the discovery of a “mysterious ancient stone tablet” depicting Mametchi and Kuchipatchi during Tokyo Toy Show set construction, the “3,000th Anniversary Great Excavation Project” was born. Fans can check out these “excavated artifacts” firsthand at the main exhibit!
Event Highlights & Local Stamp Rally
The festival stretches beyond the main venue into the vibrant streets of Harajuku and Shibuya. Here is what visitors can look forward to:
- Harajuku/Shibuya Stamp Rally: Explore local cafes, apparel shops, and novelty stores to find hidden Tamagotchi characters and earn exclusive novelty prizes.
- Limited-Time Collab Menus: Enjoy special themed food and drinks at select partner shops.
- Tamagotchi Factory! Pop-Up: Grab event-exclusive merchandise, snap photos at dedicated photo booths, and browse classic past devices.

Alongside the festival announcement, Bandai revealed the newest addition to the lineup: Tamagotchi Paradise – Neon Planets, set to release on November 21, 2026, for ¥6,380 (tax included).
This upgraded device introduces the new “Planet Switch” feature alongside the beloved zoom dial, opening up the cosmic world of the “Tama Galaxy.” Players will start raising their pets on Cosmic Planet before unlocking New Tamagotchi Planet and the classic Tamagotchi Planet.
