Wasureranneyo Hits THE FIRST TAKE with “Futsuu no Keionbu” Collab Track Following “Yani Neko” Success!

The Ultimate One-Take Performance

Exciting news for anime and manga music fans! The energetic Japanese rock act Wasureranneyo is making their highly anticipated debut on the world-renowned YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE. For their landmark performance, they will deliver a powerful rendition of “I Love You” (Ai Rabu Yuu), a passionately honest love song that recently captured the hearts of fans through a special collaboration with the popular Shonen Jump+ manga series, Futsuu no Keionbu (An Ordinary School Band).

A Special Connection to “Futsuu no Keionbu” and “Yani Neko”

The song “I Love You,” originally released in 2022, saw a massive resurgence in popularity after it was featured in Chapter 96 of Futsuu no Keionbu during the joint live concert arc, where the protagonist Hatocchi (Chihiro Hatono) and her bandmates performed it. A special collaboration promotional video celebrating the release of the manga’s 11th volume also became a massive hit among readers.

Wasureranneyo is no stranger to the anime community. Formed in 2008 and currently fronted by vocalist and guitarist Takahiro Shibata, the band has contributed highly memorable tracks to several anime series over the years:

  • “C kara Hajimaru ABC” – The iconic ending theme for the thriller anime Kaiji: Against All Rules (2011).
  • “Nammo Nee” – The explosive opening theme for the comedy anime Yani Neko (2026), which surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in less than two months.

What to Expect on THE FIRST TAKE

Known for its strict “one-take, no second chances” rule, THE FIRST TAKE features artists performing in a stark white studio with only a single microphone. Wasureranneyo will be joined by support musicians to deliver a full-band, high-energy version of “I Love You.”

Expressing his excitement, Takahiro Shibata commented: “Man, I’ve always dreamed of this. I really wanted to perform here so bad. I’ve finally made it. Thank you so much!”

Be sure not to miss this raw, emotional performance from one of the most passionate rock acts in the anime music scene!
