First Episode “Urban Legend” Synopsis & Preview
Ahead of its premiere, the official website has released the synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 1, titled “Urban Legend” (Toshi Densetsu).
The story follows Ageha Yoshina, a high school freshman who runs a “jack-of-all-trades” helper service to solve people’s problems. Beneath his helpful exterior lies a void, and he is constantly looking for excuses to act out. One day, Ageha finds a mysterious red telephone card left in a public phone booth. Strangely, it is the exact same card held by his childhood friend, Sakurako Amamiya. Shortly after saying “Save me…” to Ageha, Amamiya mysteriously vanishes.
As Ageha investigates the card, he stumbles upon a chilling urban legend: “The Secret Society Psyren and its messenger, Nemesis Q, guide chosen humans to paradise.” Although he laughs off the rumors, mysterious attackers target him for his card. Cornered, Ageha answers a ringing payphone, only to find himself transported to a barren wasteland…
